You have hired a copywriter that you feel good about.

You trust her, and life is good.

But she needs some information that you may not have thought about, and that can cause a bit of a delay.

Since you don't need unnecessary delay, let's go through just a few things you can do to prepare for your project. This will assist your copywriter in bringing her best with even greater precision and focus!
  • Create a master wish list. Your wish list should include:
    • Your goal for the project (autoresponder, direct marketing sales letter, sales video script, etc.).
    • Your goal for the result or impact of the project (newsletter sign-up, purchase of a specific product or service, etc.)
  • Collect a list of your best marketing samples.
    • Provide copies of those to your copywriter and have a conversation about those materials. Your copywriter may have some suggestions that will improve even your best because you're always growing and changing.
  • Be open to collaboration.
    • The best marketing creations grow from collaboration. Bring your ideas, your questions, and your curiosity to the table. This will help your project become more than you might have even imagined.

Prepping for your project makes you feel more stable and ready for the process you are about to embark on.

It is a blast to create and find unique ways to engage your audience. Being ready with the details means you won't miss the fun.

How do you choose a B2B copywriter?

Good B2B Copywriters have your back whether you are doing a one-off project or creating a multi-step marketing project.
The prize we are keeping our eyes on is your leads.
The prize you are keeping your eyes on is whether this is the right person for the job. Here are a few tips for choosing the copywriter that is right for you.
  • The copywriter understands digital marketing from top to bottom.
If you are putting together an autoresponder situation - emails driving sales and loyalty - you want someone who understands how that works.
  • The copywriter knows how to target an audience...
...and is going to help you adjust your output accordingly so that you get the best results you can get.
  • The copywriter can "speak your language".
Your brand has a voice. The more distinct that voice, the more eye-catching your copy. Tell your prospective copywriter what you are looking for. The more descriptive you can be about what the "voice" is like, the better the partnership will be.
  • The copywriter loves what s/he does.
You want enthusiasm. You want someone who has as almost as much of an investment in your project and products as you do! Someone who is excited about bringing her best to your business - and not "just for the money".
Copywriting is an artform that you will invest your money in and your time, so make sure that the person you are working with is the right person for you and your business.
